Effexor Withdrawal: One RN’s Experience

Exciting news!
My awesome Science & Health Channel Editor Kendra James, an RN who also happens to be the mastermind behind both Diabetes Notes and A Hearty Life, is graciously allowing Mental Health Notes readers a peak into her life - specifically, a peak into her battle with Effexor withdrawal.
Kendra is aware of both my withdrawal from Cymbalta and that some of you are experiencing similar situations, so she’s decided to share a post that deals with Effexor withdrawal from her own personal blog.
The great thing about Kendra is that she’s balls to the wall - my kinda gal! Because I understand not everyone is so uninhibited, I feel it’s my duty to warn you that her post is full of sex, four-letter words, and raw emotion.
Now that you’ve been warned, I know you can’t wait to check it out. Head on over, and be sure to thank her for her honesty!
I Took On Effexor And I Won! That’s Right, I Won! And It Feels So Damn Good!!!

Hello,
My opinion is that you were very lucky your withdrawal from Effexor was so benign.
At http://www.SSRIstories.com there are over 2,300 cases of antidepressant associated violence & suicide and some of them deal with “Withdrawal”.
The full media article is available once you have clicked on the Index.
There are 43 school shooting/incidents, over 500 murders, close to 200 murder-suicides, etc.
There are 41 Journal Articles explaining the problems with SSRIs and SNRIs and the full article is there.
It really is a National Tragedy.
