Implied Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder?

Report: 121 veterans linked to killings
Yahoo! News published the above article this morning, and I’m willing to bet it has more than just a little bit to do with the recent murder of pregnant Camp Lejeune-based marine Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach and her unborn child.
However, that apparent connection attempt doesn’t sit well with me. The 121 veterans who’ve been linked to killings were all Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans. Neither Lance Cpl. Maria Lauterbach nor her suspected murderer, Cpl. Cesar Armando Laurean, had ever been deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan.
In other words, I think it would be worth it to investigate the cases of the 121 Iraq and Afghanistan war veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder in mind (something that wasn’t mentioned once in the article). I don’t think the same can be said for Cpl. Cesar Armando Laurean.
Thoughts?
