Because Sometimes We Need A Break From Our Brains

Or, perhaps, our brains need a break. However you want to see it.
I’ve decided that, from now on, Mental Health Notes will take a break from all things mental health-related on Sundays. Yeah, I know - Mental Health Notes is a mental health blog. I’m a rebel, what can I say.
Constantly talking - and reading - about depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, doctors, scientists, stress, medicine, side effects, stigma, and other such related matters can’t be good for us. Or our brains. It just can’t.
So, from now on, I’m dedicating Sundays to any other topic that gives us a break from our brains. Or gives our brains a break. Which is, if you think about it, actually mental health-related after all. Maybe I’ll talk about music and direct you to our Music Channel. Maybe I’ll complain about Grey’s Anatomy and Prison Break withdrawal and direct you to our Entertainment Channel.
Who knows. Maybe I’ll even get drunk and stalk an ex-boyfriend and point you to our Lifestyles Channel.
Whatever I decide to muse on, I shall call it Brain Break.
Today’s topic? Not much of anything, really, because I’m taking a break from the computer and visiting (via the power of television) the Bristol Motor Speedway to watch the Food City 500 on FOX. (Fellow NASCAR fan? Then surely you’ve checked out Tim Zaegel’s Do You NASCAR?)

Honey, anytime my man does well (why, Jr., of course!) and Tony Stewart gets plowed, it’s been a good race. :)
Haha, I don’t really have anything against Stewart personally - someone I know just worships the tracks he burns rubber on (so much so that I actually bought a piece for his birthday - of a tire, that is) that it’s fun to rag on him. :)
I was happy for ol’ Jeff Burton. I wouldn’t say I’m a fan of his, but I like him.
