Silver Ribbon Brain Disorders and Disabilities Awareness First Class Postage Stamp

I’ve mentioned silver ribbon products a couple of times this week. For those of you who don’t know what they are, or what the silver ribbon represents, visit the official Silver Ribbon Coalition Web site. Especially the ‘About’ section. Good stuff, good stuff.

NAMI, Stem Cells, And Vets - Oh My!

Put on a fresh pot of coffee - there’s a ton of interesting goings-on around the world of mental health this week!

Let’s Have A Couple Days Of Sanity!

It’s after 2 a.m. here on the east coast of The States, and I’m catching up on work (something that’s acceptable given the fact that I slept from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m., and then from 9:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m., right?), and cursing myself for deciding to quit taking Cymbalta cold-turkey. Ever Feel Like Your Brain Is On Fire?

I don’t know what kind of cigarette this is supposed to be (tobacco? marijuana?), but it’s a thought-provoking piece of art.
We’ve briefly touched on the mental health effects of both smoking tobacco and marijuana (although I’ve since found some slightly dated information on respected websites claiming marijuana does not effect your brain or mental health).
In […]

The Mental Benefits of A Good Massage - A Brain Massage, That Is

I watched The Messengers last night. Not a spectacular movie - it was only an hour and a half long, and while that used to be the norm for films, I now understand why movies are climbing to two and even two and a half hours.
You just need that extra time to fully portray the […]
