Last Saturday, I posted my thoughts about the six white crosses placed on “snow hill” at Northern Illinois University.
My thoughts (which, in that post, were centered around Steven Kazmierczak’s alleged mental illness and his name being left off the sixth blank cross) unfortunately drew a negative reaction from one of Kazmierczak’s victim’s relatives. I attempted […]

Howdy readers! It’s the first Saturday Sanity since the holidays (most of them, anyway), and I must say it’s a hodgepodge of random updates and tidbits. Hopefully there will be a little something for everyone.

Hiya, lovelies! Bet you’re glad to see Saturday Sanity after this week’s, er…we’ll call it a couple days of hiatus, though we all know deep down I was just too brain zapped - literally - to keep up.
I’m hoping this weekend - well, today, at least - will provide a much needed distraction. I’m attending […]

It’s almost 4 a.m. this Saturday morning; I’m awake a drinking my second cup of coffee. Wouldn’t be too abnormal a situation for me if I had gone to bed at a reasonable hour; however, I went to be between midnight and 1 a.m.
Oh, it would also make more sense if I hadn’t taken a […]

Hey folks! Thanks to Kendra and Laura, I was informed that today kicks off the National Invisible Chronic Illness Awareness Week.
According the to the awareness Web site, “96% of chronic illness is invisible.”
Does mental illness fall into the invisible chronic illness category?
